About Us
Who WE are
Nobody wants to find themselves in a major trauma centre after sustaining serious injuries, but when the worst does happen, it’s important patients have a team around them to not only help them with their physical injuries and medical needs, but also to provide all round support with any issues they may be facing.
4 Trauma 4 Patients is a partnership with the University Hospitals Charity Birmingham. This service was born out of a need to provide this practical support to patients, allowing them to concentrate on their recovery, safe in the knowledge that their worries and concerns are being taken care of.

“I can’t find any way other than email to express my thanks and gratitude to Lauren throughout my recent 4-week stay in the QE hospital.
From the very first day, Lauren made herself known to my partner, handed us your leaflet and offered us unconditional help and advice with anything that was worrying us.
I have a very serious open fracture to my left shin and ankle caused after a bout of vertigo resulting in a fall. I didn’t need any legal advice, but that didn’t affect Lauren’s willingness to visit me for a few minutes most days, and she was always able to lift my spirits and make the day better for me.
I did pass on the leaflet she gave me to the family of a fellow patient who has been involved in a hit-and-run vehicle incident. This person was extremely grateful for Lauren’s support and is taking advantage of the legal services you offer.
The service you offer in the QE is invaluable, and I think it should be available in every NHS hospital.
Lauren is an exceptionally kind and compassionate young lady. My partner and I will always remember her and be grateful to her.”
